Whenever I get a packing list request, my mind always goes to a deep earth tone palette. What to pack for Seville is full of rich browns, auburn, orange, yellow and it is hard to think of any other colour palette so I tend to just go with it.
This Spain packing list is for summer, but could easily be tweaked for other seasons by swapping out and around a few pieces.
Also remember that if you get there and feel that you are missing something from your capsule travel wardrobe, Spain is the home of Zara and Mango so you will be able to stock up on any Spanish clothing for a fraction of the cost.
Also note that in Spain both Zara and Mango will be way better than what you are accustomed to at homes since they originate there, so you may want to leave some room in your suitcase in case you do a little shopping.
Pack the items that you feel best in that are both comfortable and can easily be mixed and matched to make the most out of your travel wardrobe.
The summer is hot so it’s probably best to leave the jeans at home unless you are a diehard jean wearer (like I am).
The weather in Spain varies across the country so if you plan on a multi-city vacation, or have any day trips scheduled in your itinerary make sure that you dress appropriately.
Lightweight jackets, and/or a light sweater is an important addition, or you may want to swap out the shorts for an actual pair of jeans since they are easy to dress up and never look out of place.
Some areas also get lots of rain, and an umbrella will probably make the trip more pleasant if you are heading that way.
I will repeat that summer is hot, really hot and full of tourists which can make it feel even hotter when you are stuck in a crowd.
Keep the pieces light and airy, but remember that you must make sure that your shoulders are covered at any religious sites.
This can easily be attained by bringing a scarf/shawl, or cardigan in your bag/purse.
Don’t forget your swimsuit (or two), especially if you plan to spend time in any beach towns.
This packing list is for 10 days in Seville in summer. All of the visuals in this post are meant as a guideline to aid you in creating your own Spain Packing List based on your own clothing, colour preferences, and personal style.
