Is it tasteless to buy yourself a Mother’s Day gift?
Regardless if it is or not I bought something last night at midnight to celebrate myself. Steve Madden is having a 20% off sale so I ordered these boots that I have had sitting in an open tab on my desktop for the last month and a half. I ordered them using the Paybright option (you make a payment every two weeks) and then called it a night.
When I bought these Levi’s during the Friends and Family event last month, I ended up returning the size I got for one size larger. This wash is 100% cotton so I needed to go up the size from my regular Levi’s size because there is no stretch. They fit pretty good, but I almost feel that I am in between those two sizes which obviously they don’t come in half sizes (but that would be a good idea wouldn’t it?)
Since they weren’t 100% I decided to break the “don’t wash and dry your Levi’s” rule and threw them in the wash tonight. I made sure to turn them inside out, dried them on medium, and then crossed my fingers. I think it may have worked, because they seem to have shrunk in all of the right places. I expect them to stretch out a bit again but I *think* that I achieved what I was trying to. I’ll give them a whirl this week to see.
It’s cold, rainy, and extremely windy today and it is making Severus (my cat) crazy. He has the whole ears pulled back, wild eyed expression and is literally flying from one end of the house to the other. It makes me wonder if there is going to be a thunderstorm or something and he can sense it, because he is completely nuts.
Tom bought himself a new iPad Pro for work. He has a laptop but needed something that was more portable since he is out in the field a lot for his job and a laptop isn’t easy to use when you are walking around. So Roo is inheriting his old laptop, I inherited his old iPad (mine is 7 years old), and Merle inherited my old iPad. Keeping it in the family. Everyone got something new even if it isn’t new 😉
Now I am going to spend tonight trying to figure out how to transfer all of my books from one device to the other. The Kindle books are easy, but it is the books that I have in my other reading app that I am not certain how to transfer over. I think there is about 300 of them and I would rather not have to find them all on my desktop and transfer them individually. I’m going to go Google some how-tos.
