I can feel a migraine starting so this may not be as long as I wanted it to be. I just ran out of ibuprofen and ended up taking kids chewables, so I’ve crossed my fingers and am hoping for the best.
I should monitor those things better so I don’t run out when I need them since I get regular headaches.
I’m also waiting for my new glasses to arrive, and can’t wait to see how they look and work. It will be nice to not have to wear contacts every day (which actually may cause some of my headaches).
This week I have a packing list request for *almost* three weeks in Spain and Portugal which will cover a variety of cities in late September.
They will be travelling to Lisbon, Lagos, Sevilla, Granada, and Barcelona.
September is still pretty hot so I stuck with summery pieces, but since it is also a month that we transition seasons I chose colours that leaned more towards an autumn palette like some browns and Burgundy.
You won’t need a jacket at this time of year but a blazer or cardigan will always come in handy if you need a little warmth.
Cropped, loose trousers, lightweight denim, and a skirt will work for the bottom selections in your travel capsule. Add a handful of shirts to mix and match in light breathable fabrics like cotton and linen (you should have some casual choices mixed with ones that can be dressed up).
A couple of dresses and a variety of comfortable travel shoes will round it out.
Don’t forget a swimsuit and hat because the sun is still quite intense during this time.
A slouchy, light, open-knit sweater won’t be overwhelmingly hot, and blouses can be left open and layered over pieces as well.
Seventeen days is a significant time to be away from home so if you have access to a washer/drier it is smart to double-check that most of the clothes you pack are easily washed and dried.
It will help you to pack light if you can consistently do laundry while you are away.

Love your packing lists! Lots of inspiration for travel wardrobes.
We are considering an 8-day trip to Northern Italy in early December (Milan, Bologna & Venice). Any packing recommendations?
