I’m in the market for a new mattress. I toss and turn the whole night and just keep flipping sides when one side starts to ache. I wake up sore and completely unrested and I think it’s all tied to the mattress.

I need a really soft one that allows my body to sink in when I lay down, so a quick question….Can anyone recommend one that checks that box and doesn’t break the bank?

Now that I covered mattresses I will continue with this post 😉

Today I have twenty travel outfit options to go with yesterday’s What to Pack for Munich, Florence, and Serbia packing list. This travel capsule wardrobe is for a 15 day vacation in March.

It was a travel capsule wardrobe built from neutrals with red for a pop of colour. When you travel to multiple destinations and want to avoid having to bring a lot of clothes the key is to make sure your pieces can all layer well, and versatile so that they can be worn in different ways easily transitioning through different temperatures.

Think dresses with sweaters or blazers worn over it, sweaters with t-shirts under, pants that you can cuff shorter, and even shoes that can be either mules or flats by simply folding the heel down.

A simple silk blouse is an easy way to make an outfit look dressier and chicer, but can be imitated for much less.

Nothing says classic and effortlessly chic like a silk blouse tucked into dark denim or trousers, with a camel coat, flats, and a red lip. Super easy to pack, and super easy to wear.

So aside from a mattress, I am also in the market for a nice silk blouse.

Do you have a go-to outfit when you want to look effortlessly chic with minimal effort?

  1. Just came across your blog as I was looking for what to pack for 10 day euro trip in a week… with a weather variance as far north as London and south as Barcelona. Do you ever pack a rain coat as your staple jacket? Or what would you advise for rainy/cold season?

Secondly — saw the note on this particular blog post about needing a mattress. We just got a new bed in October. I did a ton of research & think that buying a bed through an online retailer is safest bet b/c most have good return policies (full refund up to 90/120 days etc.). The retail stores usually make you exchange for another mattress that they sell and have shorter return policies.

We settled on the brand “Novosbed” which has a great return policy, and a free extra topper you can get after 30 days. We got the soft king size and love it. They warn you it takes 30 days to break in, and in definitely does. But now (120+ days later) we love it. I am in no way associated w/ them, just love the bed and it was cheap! (1200 for a king and free shipping to US and Canada). Highly recommended. If you have any questions LMK.
