I placed an order at Zara last week because I received an email notification that the yellow dress that Merle loved was back in stock.
I added a couple more things to the order that I liked so I could get free shipping and when it arrived one of the items was incorrect.
I do all of my returns and exchanges in a store because mailing things back takes too much time and hassle but I am scared that they won’t refund me for the shirt because it isn’t the same one that is on the e-ticket (even though it is their error).
I little weekly update of how my working-out is doing. I had three days of exercising and three days of walking over 10,000 steps which I am surprised I achieved. As of today I actually have felt pretty good this week. I don’t know if it is because I have kicked that cold that was hovering around or if the new “fitness regime” is starting to show some positive effects. I would like to think it is the latter.
H&M released their new Studio Line this week and there were some really fantastic pieces in it. As per usual when they release a new line, many of the pieces sold out quickly but there are still many to be had. If I had an extra $200 kicking around this week, this is the piece I would have bought. I love it, and it’s reversible which doubles its greatness.
The final book in one of my favourite series (by one of my favourite authors) comes out on Tuesday. I will be sitting on my device at midnight on Monday night to waiting for it to come out on iBooks (I’d wait for Kindle but their new releases don’t come out until 2 or 3am in my time zone). Then I am cancelling Tuesday so I can spend the day reading 😉 I really do wish I could cancel the day. My game plan is to read it through once really quickly, and then read it again immediately but in a slower pace so I can savour it. The speed read is because I really have to know what happens. I have waited over a year and it’s driving me nuts.
As we all know, I have a thing for the circle bags that are popping up everywhere. It started with this one that I used in my What to Pack for Amsterdam packing list, but it sold out fast and I wasn’t able to get it. This start searching hardcore for one that I liked as much or more than that one. I saved a bunch of links and have a few floating around in my online shopping carts across the internet. I happened to poke back to the website yesterday and saw that they were restocking the original one that I wanted and I could preorder it for an early March delivery. Not wanting to have a repeat of the last time with waiting too long and kicking myself I preordered it last night. I don’t think I have ever bought a purse for summer before, so I hope it lives up to my expectations.
I decided that since I was able to buy the original one that I liked, that I would take all the other links I compiled over the past few weeks and put them together in a post for you. Number 4 is from Zara. I actually chose that one to be my surrogate bag and I may still actually get it, because it’s larger size than the one I bought. I love me a big (and it’s only $45). I also really like number 2 for the colours and weave.
Up until this point I usually carry the same purse 365 days a year, or do a small rotation between 2-3. I have never designated a bag to a season before, and I probably still won’t but it will be nice to have a more summerish bag in my super tiny “collection”.
Do have different bags for each season? Autocorrect changed bags to bras so I am glad I caught that before I hit post 😉
I’ve felt under the weather for the past two weeks. One day I have a bit of a sore throat with a slight cough the next it’s gone but I still feel off. Then it comes back again. I wish it would go one way or the other just to get it over with, but I guess it’s just the time of year.
Madewell is having a sale with and extra 30% off sale items with the code META30 so half of today’s clothing picks are from there. There are some nice dresses and jumpsuits listed that would be great for spring. All the snow melted this week so I am keeping my fingers crossed that spring hits early this year. I’m not holding my breath but I am sure as hell looking forward to seeing a little bit of green poking through the ground.
