Oh man. I like to think that I am somewhat technology literate but today really challenged that perception. I can do most things if I have a tutorial to follow (minus building a site from scratch) but some things really scare me to try.

First off I was trying to optimize my site this weekend so that I can install ads from a new company. I currently run Google Ads but this kind of ad have run their course and I’d like to try something new.

I checked to mail today and was excited to see that my new Feminist AF pin arrived. I’m going to sport this baby everywhere. Maybe I’ll even buy a couple for the girls. $2 from every pin sold goes to Now Australia which is an organization that was inspired by the #metoo movement.

I got a couple of Zara gift cards for my birthday so I am actively watching the website for new fall arrivals. I’m looking forward to some new sweaters. Speaking of sweaters, Roo asked for some “soft and fuzzy” sweaters for fall and when I was shopping yesterday I found this one for her. It is neither soft, nor fuzzy but she loves it as I knew she would.

I am not sure what possessed me to book a dentist appointment for Roo at 7pm at night, but I did so I am really tight for time tonight. My god dentists are expensive. Even with insurance coverage, and now we have a couple of cavities to fill over two appointments so lots of joy.

It’s long weekend here, just a Civic holiday so nothing special but long weekends are always fun. Even more so when it falls on your birthday 🙂 It’s Really hot and humid though so I’m not sure how enjoyable it will be. Tom was talking about taking the girls to Canada’s Wonderland this weekend but with the heat and the long weekend it will be insane. Neither kid does well in the heat and last time we went one got overheated and puked. I think it’s best to wait until early fall for that one. I just wish that things didn’t get so insane here on weekends (especially long ones) because I’d like to maybe do the Aquarium or Science Centre….I’ve got a kids get in free coupon for the Science Centre so that is the front-runner 😉

When I was three years old my mom noticed that my right eye turned in when I was colouring. She brought me to the ophthalmologist where I was diagnosed with being extremely far-sighted. That’s when I got my first pair of glasses. When I was 6 years old I had to have eye surgery to correct the muscles in my eyes. It was a fairly invasive procedure and I can still remember the details and recovery process to this day.
