A white background with 12 clothing items plus shoes and accessories for a minimalist spring capsule wardrobe for over 40. In the middle is a black box with white text that reads, "A Minimalist Spring Capsule Wardrobe for Over 40."

I realized that I haven’t consistently put together an over 40 wardrobe. This is because it feels natural and day-to-day for me. As a result, I tend to not think of it as a niche.

I’ve wanted this jacket since it came out in 2017- I’ve wanted this jacket since it came out in 2017-ish and I finally found one on Poshmark that wasn’t $200. Not even close to that. It was a little too warm for a jacket today but I have been waiting 10 years so 🤷‍♀️

Everything preloved or vintage except the sneakers.

The modern Beatnik capsule. Fashion history is a p The modern Beatnik capsule. Fashion history is a passion of mine (along with regular history), so I like to borrow for it in my posts and give it a modern twist.

The very first thing that I bought with my first non babysitting job in the 90s was a huge book on the history of fashion over the last 20,000 years. It cost me almost $100 at that time which was insane, but I still have it today.
