Today was beautiful out. Actually, the last few days have been beautiful, but today was when I really noticed how the sunlight has that watered-down feel versus the summer intensity. Like, it almost feels perpetually in the golden hour.
I was really hoping that Ontario would get on board with the provinces that have chosen not to partake in the seasonal time changes. But alas, we are still “falling back” in a couple of months, to my dismay.
Or maybe less than a couple of months now? I have lost all concept of time.
So fashion stated that crossbodies are “out”, which is now being perpetuated by the influencers whose solution is to get a sling bag instead…which is ultimately still a crossbody.
Anything to make a few bucks. Anyway, hold on to your crossbodies because, like it was mentioned in my Instagram comments, “how else am I going to flick off the patriarchy?”
Both hands are needed to fight this fight.
As mentioned a million times, I really love that oversized, brown, cotton Gap sweater from this week. It truly was a great purchase.
I went with the tall size because even though I am short, I have long arms, and I like my sleeves really long. The tall gives me the extra length to get the fit I like.
It’s pretty heavyweight cotton too, and I just layer it over a cotton T-shirt for ease.
I am really excited about this week’s fall wardrobe inspiration, guys. I truly hope that it lives up to the ideas in my head. It will be so disappointing if it doesn’t work and I have to pivot.
When I was on Netflix earlier, I noticed that they have added English dubs to a lot more of their K-dramas, which is exciting. There were so many that I wanted to watch, but they only had English subtitles, which meant I had to focus 100% to read them and follow along.
This way I get to do other tasks and still know what is going on. I love K-dramas.
Why am I so tired today? I could easily have gone to bed at 6 pm. I’ve got to finish some stuff before even thinking about bed, though.
I saw Christmas decor today, and I am not sure how I feel about it. As someone who loves Christmas and leaves her tree up for a ridiculously long time, even I think this is pushing it. I have enough stress already.
Let’s deal with the Halloween candy first.
Look at this leather jacket from Zara. The colour makes me want to cry in a good way, and the price makes me want to cry in a bad way. Note: the jacket seems to be gone now for some reason, so I linked to gloves, but the model is wearing the jacket so you can see what I am talking about. It was like $550 USD/$650 CAD.
I did see this blouse today, though, and I tried it on and loved it. While I would wear it for everyday outfits, I think if it was paired with dress pants*and red shoes, it would make a great office wear outfit.
Neutral pants with an interesting, almost neutral top, and some bright coloured shoes is an easy formula.
I was rushing to make the post office before it closed, so I didn’t hit up any other stores today except Zara and then the grocery store to pick up some dinner ingredients.
I also just realised today that I have not had any takeout since May. Not even a coffee. I guess being broke will do that to you.
*I tried the dress pants on too, and they were much more relaxed than what it shows on the model.
