I ended up on a rabbit trail while on YouTube and just spent the past two hours watching the story of a young woman trying to find an apartment in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was not an easy endeavour, and while the situation was stressful, she speaks so calmly and seems so patient and chill.
I probably should take some lessons from her.
Anyway, then I had to get my shit together and finish this post, but I would rather make a grilled cheese sandwich because I am pretty damn hungry right now.
On a positive note, the nighttime temperature is lower tonight, so I cracked the balcony door. Now the room is cold, and I need to put on my sweatshirt, wherever I put it.
It’s nice, and I saw the first few leaves on the ground a few days ago, but that might be more about the extreme heat of the summer and lack of rain.
And while I am sad that we are past the trick-or-treat thing, I am also happy that I don’t have to make a costume because that was always super stressful anyway.
I wonder if, due to the financial situation and people struggling more now than I have ever seen in my life (myself included), there won’t be a lot of people participating in Halloween anyway.
It is all so frustrating and sad, and all we can do is sit back and wait, hoping things will get better.
