It is so frustrating how you blink and the weekend is done. Sunday night comes along, and you think about all the things you said you were going to do that, once again, do not get done.

That is me, like every single week.

I was talking in my last post on Friday about how I am not a stress eater, but definitely a stress hopper, which is something that I zm very aware of and need to address.

One can determine how well I am coping or how stressful a week has been by how much I bought, or at least shopped and maybe not bought.

I’m pretty sure how much anxiety and stress I have right now regarding world issues is on par with when Covid started.

You should have seen my online shopping habits then. Big yikes.

Anyway, to keep myself accountable I will post what I bought this weekend. I am not one to do a shopping haul, so it will always be only one or two things at a time.

I don’t actually think that I have ever done a haul.

You might remember this bag from the capsule I put out a few weeks back. It has been on my radar since I saw it in the store about 6 months ago.

Every time I go in, I look at it and try it on in front of a mirror. Then I put it back and move along, only to repeat it again the next time.

Today I brought it to the register. I kind of feel like it has been hanging out for a while because of the colour.

The online colour isn’t quite as bright as it is in person. It is more neon in person, and neon isn’t a bag colour that is hugely popular, I guess, which is lucky for me.

It’s going to add a cool colour contrast to outfits, I think. I also think I am going to like wearing it as a crossbody (it comes with a strap), over my oversized winter coat.

It will be like playing with small and big proportions. Also, neon and camel (the colour of my coat) are visually striking.

The other piece is this fine knit, semi-sheer sweater. I sized up for a looser fit that is good for layering. It looks fitted in the photo, but it is loose and appears three sizes larger on me.

I saw it a few days ago, and it caught my eye, but I was in a rush, so I didn’t try it. I thought I would give it a go today, but then I couldn’t remember which store I saw it in for some reason.

I should have known it was also in Simons because I spent the most time in there this week. It is my go-to mall store.

Unfortunately, it looks like we are having our second summer this week with warmer than seasonal temperatures. I was really hoping for the seasonal shift to hit so we could start getting some rain.

It has been way too dry since spring.

Anyway, you can see that I got to wear those Zara pants I was talking about twice this week. I love them, and they were a great purchase. I did go up a size to make them a bit roomier.

Ugh. I am not looking forward to summer clothes again.

Please let this week be as uneventful as possible. Please.

Take care of yourselves.
