Weekly Secondhand Finds XLII

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

I feel like this week might have a bit of a snake theme. Not everything, but a lot of pieces have snake elements.

Maybe it is because it is trending, and my fascination with snake print has only grown since last year, but I am loving all the snake print I see.

There are so many options via the second market.

But first, there is a silky fitted leopard print blazer that is so badass. It is an XS, so no hope in hell for me, but someone else might fit into this fun piece.

Next up is the first snake print piece. It is a long jacket that appears to be unlined. It is listed as a size 20, but check the measurements because vintage sizing fits differently.

It is a not-so-subtle way to add the trend to your wardrobe, even though I consider this a timeless piece.

I always love an acid-wash denim jacket in a longer cut. It’s just so much more interesting to me. I have one similar.

Two fall/winter trends in one with chocolate brown suede and snake print. It’s by Coach, and Coach is having a moment again.

These boots. Do I even have to say more? They are Prada but look like Frye boots.

The price is fantastic.

I kept coming back to these brown suede wrestling-style boots. They look like a hybrid of a loafer, moccasin, and wrestling boots.

So interesting.

No one makes a blazer quite like Mugler.

The cobalt blue paired with the leather trim is so good. This is one of those buy it and keep it forever items. The one that you always grab when you want to feel good in your outfit.

A vintage 80s snake print belt is up next, which I love in the blue. It is always fun to find an animal print that deviates from the norm.

Grandpa sweaters have a chokehold on me for fall, and this Ralph Lauren is so good.

I also have a thing for short-sleeve sweatshirts, especially if there is a graphic. And what does it have on it?

A snake.

Ralph Lauren Cardigan | Vintage Sweatshirt

I love finding these jackets that are cut in the “lady style” but have something edgy like studs that make it absolutely not a ladies who lunch look.

Maybe a lady that I would like to lunch with, though.

I love the black and red of this Marni bag. It makes me think of a deck of cards for some reason. I want this one.

I also want this one. I always look for these vintage Adidas bags and they are always in bad condition. This one is fantastic, and the colour combination is even better.

Block-heeled shoes have made a comeback, and the gold cap toe of this Ralph Lauren pair just gives it that something extra, if you know what I mean.

Next, I have a vintage pendant necklace. I really like this style of necklace a lot.

And lastly, there are these suede lace-up boots that have that dark academia vibe that I adore. Pair them with a cuffed jeans or ankle trousers and your grandpa sweater.

That is it for this week, friends.

I swear as soon as I post this, I am going to find another handful of items that I want to share beacsue there is so much good stuff right now if you look.

I guess I will try to save them for next week and hope thet are still there.

Take care.

  1. I’m 83 years old and have stenosis of the spine. Even though I rarely go out(because of pain) , I want to look nice . For a while I thought athletic clothes and shoes were the answer and I bought several medium priced sets from Lands End( mail order is easiest).
These are fine and comfortable. What can I add to wear when having Sunday dinner with family. Something smart looking but easy to put on .
