Another week of being absolutely uninspired by summer. It really sucks the joy out of getting dressed for me. I know that I bitch about it all the time, but it seems to get more miserable every year.
And when I have to go out and walk in it to run errands, I always feel like I need a nap when I get back home. So it not only sucks out the creativity, but apparently my will to do anything as well.
There is this massive antique shop in Woodstock, Ontario. Like three floors of an old factory, kind of massive, and it is one of our favourite places to go.
But we haven’t been able to go this summer because of the heat. It isn’t air-conditioned, and the last time we went, when it was hot out, it was awful. Almost passing out kind of awful.
Anyway, I highly recommend it, but also, you should wait until fall or winter to go, unless you do well in unventilated, suffocating heat.
I just found out that the second season of North of North comes out at the beginning of September, so I am pretty excited about that.
Currently, I am drinking an instant coffee…I know, I know, it’s not good, but I like to have it on hand for easy coffees when I need a kick.
Also, it doesn’t keep me up, so I drink late-night coffees every single day. It also helps to keep my headaches at bay. But anyway, instant coffee is usually just tolerable, but somehow I made a really good cup tonight.
One of which I will probably never be able to duplicate.
How do you feel about this funnel neck sweatshirt? I love that it is navy, 100% cotton, and has some really interesting neck details in the back.
This sweatshirt would look really good with the Asos exclusive Adidas track pants in navy and red. They don’t ship those to Canada, so I am shit out of luck.
I’m not sure why all their Adidas stuff seems to have shipping restrictions. It’s frustrating.
And I know some people were looking for a pair of red, kitten heel boots, because they like my red boots. I found a pair, but they are new, not vintage, so if vintage was your ultimate goal, these aren’t for you.
But they are leather, and I find Zara boots comfortable, and they last for a long time, so it is an option for someone looking to add something to their wardrobe that they will wear for years and will make an impact.
Guess who sold $800 worth of things on Poshmark this weekend? And guess who has to use it all to make a tax payment?
Sigh. I need to go nap again.
