I am torturing myself going through Zara’s new arrivals tonight. I am very much a shoe person, so there is always some pair of shoes that catches my eye somewhere.
On the secondhand market, it is a green pair of Dries Van Noten oxfords, from Zara, it is these red ponyhair, and these green flats.
But unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, depending on how you view it, I am still on the buying hiatus, and will only allow myself to buy something if I am able to sell something that covers the cost completely.
It is like the one-in-one-out rule (which I don’t believe in), only there has to be a monetary balance as well.
And even then, I should funnel that money into my taxes, even though I am making huge payments.
So, needless to say, I didn’t buy anything new this past week. I did try on some stuff, though.
Although I do need a new pair of slippers. Mine are literally shredding, and I cannot go slipperless…ever.
Socks and slippers are mandatory for me when in the house all day, every day. I do not like the feeling of being sockless or slipperless.
Although my current slippers make the sock on my right foot always twist, which drives me batshit.
But I am sure that I can find a cheap pair somewhere that doesn’t feel like wearing empty Kleenex boxes on my feet like those popular ones from a few years ago with the large smiley face on them.
Those sucked.
My Carolyn Bessette wardrobe post is still getting a lot of traffic for the sixth day in a row. It’s pretty crazy, but people have dove right into her from what I am seeing on social media.
When in reality it was just 90s minimalism, which has never really left, she was just a very good example of it in the celebrity world and has always been thought of as having her own separate style category.
That being said, my current nostalgia for the 90s is strong right now. Like, really strong.

I didn’t even notice! They were definitely there. My smallest one is never far because he follows me like a dog, but my big guy has taken to sleeping on my bed during the day when no one is in there. If I don’t make the bed he likes to lay on all the messy pillows and blankets so he was probably there instead because I haven’t been making my bed lately.
That green shirt in the 4th is my favourite colour so I like it too.
