Over the last week, I have noticed a huge uptick in visits to my Carolyn Bessette wardrobe posts, primarily this one. I wondered why, and then I remembered that the new limited series Love Story recently started, and this is obviously a result of that.

This means that people are looking to replicate her wardrobe, which surprised me because there was a lot of controversy in the wardrobe choices that were seen in the earlier released photos over the past year.

I have been hearing mixed reviews about the show, too, so I thought I would check it out last night, purely for the fashion, and I was pleasantly surprised.

Maybe the original outfit photos from the test shoots didn’t photograph well or something, because from the available episodes, I can see why people are searching.

It is very 90s nostalgic, and I can remember seeing those outfits and people wearing them. I remember those magazine ads/shots and tabloid covers.

I felt transported back into the 90s when I watched it, and maybe because it was such a pivotal time for me, I am really enjoying it.

The soundtrack is amazing as well, and you can see a version someone put together on Spotify. I will say, though, that they did Daryl Hannah dirty. She was so much more than that, and so beautiful.

Now I am looking forward to the rest of the episodes, even though I know the tragedy that awaits.

It is so different seeing her outfits come to life versus the flat photos we always see them in, because it really changes the perspective and feel.

I might have to do an updated Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wardrobe now because the series inspired me.
