The heat in my building is going to be shut off tomorrow from 10-1 for an emergency repair, so that is going to be fun. At least tomorrow isn’t supposed to be the coldest day of the week.
On Tuesday, the water will be shut off from 9-5 for repairs as well. So it is a bit annoying, but at least we don’t have to pay for repairs.
This means that I have to do a lot of laundry tomorrow to catch up, and I hate laundry.
I have been trying to bring out and wear items that I haven’t worn in a long time, like the double-breasted cardigan that was in outfit one.
This has been sitting in my “maybe I will sell it” pile for a while because I think I have only worn it once in the 4+ years that I have owned it.
So this week I was like, “You know what? I am going to give it a go and see if I really want to sell it.” And truthfully, I think I will be wearing it more often.
I think that part of my problem was that I bought it too big, and since I have put on some perimenopausal weight (blah), it seems to fit better now.
So it pays to try things on that you haven’t worn in a while because you never know how they might work on your present body.
Anyway, since it is several years old and I can’t find one on the secondhand market, if you are in Canada or the UK, this one is pretty close and on sale. It even has the wide cuffs.
I am also looking forward to how I can style my vintage tuxedo jacket this week.
To cut down on impulse buys, I usually make myself think of at least three ways that I can wear something before I allow myself to buy it, but in this instance, I was on a time constraint, and since I had been looking for over a year, I figured it was a safe bet.
Now off to fall down some rabbit holes about the Dodleston Messages. I have never heard about these, and it is fascinating.
