Another week in the wtf record books. Just when you think it can’t get worse, it laughs and then kicks you in the face. How are you guys doing?
Lack of sleep and stress are taking their toll, and I find myself having trouble staying on top of things.
It’s been so cold and snowy lately that I am also finding that I lack the motivation to go outside, when I usually really enjoy this time of year.
And when I am stressed, I shop, so I guess it is good that I am extremely broke at the moment because you can’t shop if you don’t have money, right?
I need to get my shit together to do a closet clearout and post some stuff on Poshmark again because I really need to get those taxes paid off, so I can breathe a little.
I haven’t even started to watch Season 4 of Bridgerton that just came out, when I usually would have been all over that right away.
And reading? That isn’t happening much either, which saddens me. I need to renew my library card and go sit in there to hang out for a change of scenery.
It’s across the street. Literally.
Maybe I will summon up the energy to go tomorrow.

Catherine O’Hara died today, and I am so saddened by this. This is one of those kick-in-the-face moments I was talking about. The wrong people always go. I hate this timeline.

I am fighting off a cold right now. Or something. Whatever it is it feels miserable.
On the plus side, I sold a bunch of stuff on Vinted over the last week. I still have quite a bit on there, and even more to add, but was nice clearing things out and getting some cash for it. I used a little bit of the money to buy a Betsey Johnson bag I’ve wanted for awhile, but it was too expensive new. Found it for 10 pounds, and when it arrived there was another bag inside. Seller said to just keep it because she didn’t remember it. It was Michael Kors! Gave it to my MIL because she loved it.
Also, my 9 year old has discovered Mystery Science Theater 3000 and most of the episodes are free on youtube, so we have been binge watching MST3K, which is so much better than the 30 second brain rot shorts.
My anniversary is in a couple of weeks, and my husband got me a box of my favorite potato chips from one of those American snack websites (Uncle Ray’s is the brand, in the Hot flavor. Every bag has a weird folksy chapter in the life of Ray printed on it. More often than not it’s about fishing).
There’s some definite nasty bugs going around right now so I hope you’re getting better. We’ve been lucky (knock on wood).
I wish we still had Vinted here. For some reason it closed at the end of 2023 so we are stuck with shittier versions like Poshmark and depop. EBay isn’t even worth the effort anymore since shipping to the US is near impossible with the tariffs. Everything has become harder 😩 but good for you selling some stuff to get something you wanted. I love Betsey Johnson.
Those brain rot shorts are so bad for attention span. I notice how it even affects my husband when he watches too many. I used to love it when my kids discovered educational shows themselves that they loved. It made life easier.
I’ve never heard of Uncle Ray’s but I do love me some spicy chips. Happy Anniversary!
