I wanted to get this post out a day earlier this week because of Christmas, so I worked on this on the weekend. There are 18 instead of the usual 16 pieces this week because I didn’t feel like narrowing it down.
As per usual, there are lots of jackets since I am a jacket person and constantly searching for them.
Like these two vintage styles by Armani.
Armani is a good brand to search out, especially if you are in the market for a 90s or Y2K era jacket.
The first one has that military-esque band jacket style that we know and love, but the second one grabbed my heart.
Look at that necktie! So cute, and I wasn’t going to share it because I wanted it for myself. But I had to be honest with myself and admit that it wasn’t going to fit in the chest.
Sigh.

I love boot season, and I think everyone needs a moto style in their wardrobe like this Missoni pair.
Remember the witchy, victorian style boots we wore in the 90s? I think that is going to come back, but not in the full-fledged boho kind of way we wore with the long button-up dresses and knit vests.
More like a minimalist Victorian way. Pieces with Victorian elements while still maintaining a chic and pared-back look.
Imagine these with some faded straight-leg jeans and a button-up little jacket with high neck detailing.

Another Armani jacket from Y2K, but this is a trench. What I love about this one is the shoulder details and the funnel neck.
I am a sucker for a funnel neck. I am also a sucker for this bright green colour.
And while a lot of people would choose a smaller piece to make the colour an accent, I say dive right in with this bold choice.

More boots. I adore Miista boots.
They always have a unique shape, especially in the heel. This brown leather pair has a very strong square toe and fits about mid calf.
The lighting is terrible in the second photo, so you can’t tell by looking that these are supposed to be navy blue leather.
While I love a black boot, there is something about navy that makes them a bit more interesting and special.

Another brand to search for is agnès b. Seriously, though, don’t sleep on it.
Look how interesting this coat is! A funnel neck, asymmetric front closures, and large pockets. It is delightful.
Always a weakness for animal jewellery, this 1940s brooch is so cute.

We are seeing these y2k era inspired Penny Lane jackets all over the place in both new and vintage.
And yes, Many of the vintage styles are from the 70s, but there was a huge resurgence in y2k and those are the ones that are in abundance and still affordable.
1970s Penny Lane coats tend to go for hundreds of dollars now.
I always get excited when I see a vintage Gap piece that looks like it would fit into modern fashion, like this leather jacket.
I love the shape and distressing of the leather. It is an xs, so it is pretty tiny.

In the 2000s, I had a small collection of little belted jackets like this that I would pair with flare leg jeans and my favourite kitten heel boots.
While I don’t often wear a flare anymore, I do still love the look of these jackets. This time I would pair with some vintage straight leg or relaxed styles, depending on the look I was going for.
Remember how much we loved Bluemarine? Their vintage pieces can be pretty pricey, especially the clothes, but I really loved the look of this bag.

Another agnès b. jacket, this time a blazer with zipper accents. It has that look that always catches my eye.
Nothing says quality quite like a 90s Gap 100% cotton sweater. Look how good this one is! It looks like it belongs on the J.Crew new release page.

I had a great vintage Bill Blass piece a few weeks back, and today I found some pretty awesome leather gloves.
I love the colour, and it is such an easy way to add some visual interest to what is often our boring winter coats.
And to finish, I have a vintage Puma bag in a bold orange and blue. Way back in the day, like in the 1980s, I had a vintage Adidas bag that was red and navy blue.
I wish I still had that. Those are worth a lot now.
Anyway, this colour combination is top-notch. A great, bold statement bag.

That is it for now.
I probably won’t have a capsule this week due to Christmas, or if I do, it won’t be until the end of the week.
We will see how motivated I feel.
Happy Holidays, friends.
