Today was pretty miserable with a lot of freezing rain, and we hunkered down because none of us wanted to venture out, especially into the Boxing Day chaos.

So I decided I would put together this post for the week, even though I skipped the capsule, and will be skipping the outfit roundup on Sunday since I was barely out of pyjamas and leisurewear over the last five days.

I was checking out the online sales today, although I haven’t participated in them, but I am contemplating this skirt for spring and summer that I have had my eye on since it came out months ago.

I just can’t pass up this colour.

Something also notable is that Old Navy seems to have just released a similar version of the green cargo pants that I bought from them about two years ago.

I included a khaki pair in this roundup, but they also have the green that I have. When I wear them, I usually cinch the bottom and tuck them into boots. I also went up a size for a more relaxed fit.

We had a quiet Christmas because my husband had to work at 6 am, so we celebrated Christmas at midnight, opening the presents, and then the girls got their stockings in the morning when they woke up.

Honestly, I prefer the quietness since this time of year can be exhausting and stressful, and it doesn’t take much for me to feel worn out. Travelling around would have taken me out.

It feels so weird that the year is almost over, probably because it has been so hellish. So if I don’t talk to you before then, Happy New Year.

I hope it is a better one for all of us.

One Comment

  1. I love how practical and approachable your sections and capsules are. Would you consider featuring one with some business looks (e.g. modern suit) mixed it. It is so hard to go from school run to jeans to business without feeling like I have 3 disjointed wardrobes.
