It is Amazon Prime Days again, and you are going to be bombarded with links on Instagram from the majority of influencers, so remember that you don’t need anything.
Unless, of course, it was something on your list that is on sale, like Christmas gifts and whatnot. Stay away from the Shein quality clothes. I know the impulse is strong, but you can do better.
Additionally, they often increase prices on products for the six weeks leading up to the sale and then offer a discount, making it appear to be a larger discount than it actually is.
They are sneaky like that, so make sure that you are actually getting a deal.
There are websites that monitor the prices and can determine if you are getting a good deal or not, like camelcamelcamel, which is an Amazon price tracker.
Now that my Prime rant is over…This week, I am finding myself in the depths of the secondhand and vintage world.
I am looking for those key treasures that will completely make my wardrobe.
I have no idea what those will be, but I will know when I see them. In the meantime, I am also finding all kinds of other good pieces that I plan to share with you guys.
Starting with my favourite of the night, these Prada sports boots. Are they even boots? I don’t know, but these are so uniquely amazing.
I am very much obsessed with the Prada Sport footwear from the 90s/Y2K, and I have a few others on here tonight that fall under that category.
Next is a beautiful vintage Gucci with its classic bamboo handle. I love the shape and the red. This is a fabulous little bag.

Okay, so here are the other two pairs of Prada Sport shoes.
These silver sandals are actually something that I have been hunting down for YEARS, and they are never, ever in my size.
I think these would be like the one-and-done heels for spring and summer. They also come in black, and if I am remembering correctly, an iteration in a neon yellow, or something with neon accents.
I need to search it out to be sure.
This second pair is a mule. Seriously, though, these are pretty epic. They feel very futuristic to me.

When you are feeling down, throw on a tiger print blazer. I shit you not, I have a blue tiger print vintage Moschino blazer and every time I wear it, I feel infinitely better about myself.
This one is velvet, and it is so badass.
You know that I share the Celine Boogie Bags whenever I find one for a great deal, or in this case a great colour. I have not seen one in this colour before. It is like a plum chocolate brown.

I love a good safari jacket, and I adore the little leather details on this one. It is like a chic safari jacket.
This buffalo plaid vintage Ralph Lauren jacket gives me Isabel Marant vibes.

Do the perfect loafers exist?
Yes, they do, and they are this caramel, square-toe pair from Mansur Gavriel.
Celine has the best boots, the challenge for me is finding some that don’t have a sky-high heels. I love the shape and the zipper that is both utilitarian and aesthetic.
The price is also really good for Celine.

As a collector of Ralph Lauren knitwear, I do not have one in this colour, nor have I seen one in this colour.
It is perfect for right now.
Remember how I said that I love vintage GAP? This jacket is one of the reasons why. Look at it. It is vintage yet so perfectly modern and on trend.
And the lining is AMAZING.

These two pieces are also ones that fit in perfectly with modern fashion, even though they are vintage.
The Ralph Lauren quilted chore jacket is magnificent. Better than what you can find in most stores.
And these plaid trousers are wool. Another great vintage Gap piece.

This little vintage Moschino jacket is beautiful. It has short sleeves, a zip front, and a soft yellow lining.
And it is wool. It would look so good with a coloured turtleneck under it when it finally cools down here.
To finish, these large vintage faux fur earrings. I love them. They clip on so you don’t have to worry about the weight pulling like you do with a post back.
They are beyond unique and right up my alley.

And that is it.
I have really been thinking about overconsumption this past week. Probably because of my urge to stress shop.
The satisfaction I get from finding one or two perfect vintage finds is so much more gratifying than my 3 am impulse buys while I am doomscrolling.
It is something for me to reflect on.
I think I am going to make myself a secondhand and vintage wishlist, so when I get the urge to buy something new, I will go on the secondhand hunt instead.
