Let’s take a moment to rejoice that it went from summer heat to jacket weather this week, and I can’t be more excited about it.

Sleeping with the windows open and being cold is what I have been waiting for since last April.

My newly renovated Zara has a new system for online returns. I think I complained about it already.

But it is a kiosk now where you package the item, it spits out a label, and a door opens, and you drop the return in.

It is supposed to take 3-6 days for it to process, compared to the instant processing when you go to the cash.

I did it for the first time about two months ago, and it took 12 days to process. I actually had to contact them to push the return through.

Then the next time, I started and then saw on the screen that cash returns were still an option, so I cancelled it and went to the cash.

Today was extremely busy in there because I forgot there would be long weekend traffic, and the associate basically said no online returns at the cash today.

So I was forced into using the kiosk again against my will. Which is dumb because the associates have to help you every step of the way to make sure you are doing it right.

It’s much more streamlined and less wasteful doing it the old way.

But we will see how long this takes this time.

I should have just brought it home and come back another day.

Anyway, I ordered this jacket-ish piece yesterday to see if I like it as much in person, along with the brooch. I feel that it needed the brooch, and I don’t have a hatpin-style brooch.

I have also been seeking out Canadian businesses lately and trying to find new ones to share, like Mademoiselle Jules from Montreal, who makes elevated minimalist jewellery.

I found the perfect size hoops from there for daily wear, and this amazing pendant that I cannot wait to wear. I included both of these in last night’s rock luxe capsule because I love them so much.

I am always a go-to yellow gold person, but I have been wanting to up my silver jewellery options because I love the look of silver, and these were my starting point choices.

Oh yeah, and I also bought a new beanie. It was cold the other night, and my tried and true beanie from the last ten years has developed a big hole in the top. I love the colour of this one too.

I think that’s it. Happy Thanksgiving to those in Canada. I am skipping the traditional Thanksgiving foods and making fancy tacos instead.

We are still having pumpkin pie, though. I’ll never miss an opportunity for that.

Weekly Reads and Some Videos:

Gap x Sandy Liang arrived this morning, and there were some cute pieces. It is selling out quickly, but I like the deer print faux fur pullover.

Designer Rüdiger Schlömer has created a new typeface for beginning knitters called Knit Hello. I wish I had the patience to learn to knit. I generally don’t enjoy creative things like that, so it is never going to happen, though.
