I accidentally had a nap tonight, which is making this post extra late. It was supposed to be a 15-minute refresher, but I think it was closer to two hours. The 4 am bedtimes are taking their toll.

Anyway, I was running some errands today, which included the mall, so I thought I would do a walk around to see what was new.

I didn’t buy anything, or even try anything on. It was just for research purposes 😉

There was a trend that I have noticed with the influx of pre-fall/fall fashion; a pumpkin colour like the top I included in this roundup (item one).

It is like a spiced pumpkin, which isn’t far-fetched for fall but also hasn’t been one that we see in abundance.

But today there was a notable amount of this colour, which makes me think it is going to come in strong.

Also, the chartreuse green we saw in waves last year seems like a lot more for this upcoming season.

I don’t know if it is just a coincidence that the new products are favouring those colours, or if in fact they will be leading fall colours.

I want to note that the pyjama set (item 12) in this roundup is something that I would wear as separates, not as pyjamas.

The top is a camisole, and the bottoms I would wear paired with an oversized sweater for fall.

I have been searching for a vintage pair of pyjama pants like this for my wardrobe, and when I saw these I really liked them and thought about their potential.

In case you missed it, I posted a minimalist reset fall capsule yesterday.

  1. Hey there. I haven’t stopped by in a while and thought I would pop by this evening. I hope you are able t get some quality rest this week. I know how hard it is to thrive during the week without adequate sleep.

I managed to take my Fendi out for a stroll this week. I also managed to score a brand new pair of Madewell kitten heels that I missed on sale on their site. I scored a brand new pair on Poshmark, bid them down and used a credit I had from a previous sale I made! This was exhilarating! I love the capsule this week and may order those sunglasses you included from HM?

    Have a wonderful week!

    • I think I could sleep for a year and still be tired. I guess such is life of a perimenopausal woman. I’m glad your getting use out the bag though. It’s tough getting into the mindset to actually bring them out and use them instead of keeping them protected by avoidance. Next step, bring it out in the rain 😂

Yay! For scoring a wish list item on the secondhand market. I find it much more gratifying when this happens and I tend to appreciate the item more. It’s like the hunt and work put into it has a long term effect versus the momentary thrill when you find something in a store.

I hope you have a great week to Shon!

      Sara
