Weekly Secondhand Finds XXXV

a collage of different types of women's clothing and accessories. All vintage or secondhand.

When the temperatures get high, I think of cool breezes and coats. I don’t think of shorts and sandals. To me, summer dressing is a necessity that I have to endure, but one that I despise.

I find myself trying to buy pieces to make getting dressed more fun, but ultimately, I dread it and lack inspiration. Which often leads to me not dressing appropriately for the weather.

So if it could cool down a bit, I would really appreciate it because I have a lot of jackets that are itching to be worn.

Fall is when I really thrive, so today I have a nice collection of jackets to share with you.

Starting with this full-length tan coloured coat.

Isn’t it divine? This would be so striking in fall, but it is really long, so pay attention to the measurements.

You know that I can’t pass up a green coat, and olive and chartreuse green being my favourite. I actually bought a vintage 90s Danier green blazer/jacket on Poshmark last night, which I am excited to get.

Vintage Danier is awesome. I swear no two jackets are the same, and it is worth the long scroll through them because there are A LOT.

Or if you want to be a little more risky or edgy with your fashion choices, you can try a silver leather like this one.

It’s stunning and has a futuristic vibe. Throw it over a jeans and tee outfit and instantly amazing.

Something else that I look for is unique fits or cuts like this black linen blazer. It is minimalist but has a slightly asymmetrical front with no visible buttons.

I love a forever piece. You absolutely cannot put a date on this one.

With fall comes the desire for knits, but also fun knits. Because when the weather isn’t sunny, sometimes you want to amp up the colour like this cute Marni cardigan.

I always like to think of easy outfits, nothing complicated, because I am less apt to dress in a complicated outfit.

So this cardigan paired with distressed boyfriend jeans and ballet flats is simple yet really good.

These flats are also Marni, and the peep toe is what makes them stand out—that and the metallic bronze colour with black buckles.

Back to some more yellow.

These Miu Miu oxford-ish flats are so cute and add a nice punch of colour with zero effort.

This week must be my Marni week because these two-toned flats are also from them. Don’t you love the unique studded toes?

Marni is so much fun and seems so underrated when it comes to designer brands.

Let’s talk about the epitome of the 90s sling bag/backpack.

We loved our leather backpacks in the 90s, and this sling bag style was the coolest option that you could find. This one is gorgeous and in great condition.

Let’s bring back the backpack.

Do you want a good deal on a vintage suede skirt? Look no further.

Size medium and a stellar deal. Like literally what you see them go for nowadays in the thrift store. The long midi length and a-line cut are perfection.

Remember the days of the “jeans and a nice top”? or a “going out top”. These two would make perfect going out tops to pair with jeans.

First is a Dries Van Noten knit tank, which is stunning in its simplicity.

On the other side, we have a beautiful silk with patent leather straps by Versace. I am very much on a vintage Versace kick right now.

Do you love big earrings? This silver shell-inspired set is beautiful, and they are clip-ons, which makes them so much easier to wear if you don’t like heavy earrings with a pierced back.

More minimal style bags are on my radar currently, and this one, which surprisingly is from Moschino, who is normally very kitchy, is fabulous.

Brown suede, zip top, shoulder bag style is timeless and stunning.

Let’s reflect on how cool Guess used to be.

This croc embossed shoulder bag is vintage Guess and is very reminiscent of the time period when I would put Guess ads on my wall.

I think these pink mules are my favourite of the night, though. I mean, come on. These are incredible.

If they were my size, I would have grabbed them when I saw them. Once again paired with jeans, a tee and a Chanel-esque jacket. This bag would also look great with them.

That is it for tonight.

I actually found a few more pieces, but I am saving them to share, maybe this week or in another post.

There are a lot of great items out there right now if you do some digging.
