As someone who was never an audiobook person before, I have been hooked on the Graphic Audio versions recently. Even more so than a few weeks ago when I was first talking about them.

I think it’s because they are like plays or movies, rather than just a narrator, so my mind stays focused rather than drifting.

Anyway, this is going to be an expensive hobby.

I guess there are worse ways I can spend my money than on books, right?

It would be nice if Spotify gave you more than 15 hours of audiobooks a month, because I find a lot of the books I like have two parts and the hours total more than 15.

So, starting one book and having to wait several weeks to get more hours to finish it is annoying, even if I know what happens at the end.

I was searching for something, and I came across this shirt, which I am trying to talk myself out of. I think it would be fun tucked into a preppy skirt.

There are so many sales this week that it is overwhelming.

But it is helping me to declutter my email, because I am seeing sales pushes from stores that I never shop at anymore, so I just unsubscribe.

After the balcony audit debacle of the last couple of weeks, I don’t think I even mentioned that apparently the audit happened without them setting foot in here.

Did they use a drone? I have no idea, but that thought is kind of creepy.

However they accomplished it, it ended up with them deciding that wooden furniture was also now banned, and I had to get rid of the two Adirondack chairs.

I will let you know that they were not easy to manoeuvre through the balcony door solo. I started to wonder if I was going to have to break them down plank by plank.

There were some Friends, pivot moments (all by myself), but I got them out.

They have now been removed and rehomed, so everything should be compliant.

My balcony literally only has one little metal table on it because I am not going out to buy some plastic or metal furniture. We don’t use it enough.

Plus, I feel like plastic furniture would blow off.

I was thinking today how it would have been more optimal if that was an enclosed sunroom versus and balcony. Something to keep in mind for the future if and when we move.

Balconies were always something that I sought out, but after this many years here and barely using it, a sunroom makes so much more sense.

Plus, it is usable space for the year versus seasonally. The cats would love that too.

I also just realized that I have to get my healthcare renewed by my birthday, so that is fun.

The closest place is several miles walk away, so I will have to plan it for a day when it is cooler.

And that is it. Canada Day is on Tuesday, so I am not looking forward to the fireworks which take place across the street.

It terrifies one of the cats. I hate fireworks.

I also used to have a dog that would have a seizure every time they went off. It’s not worth the trauma to pets and some people.

I would be okay with never seeing a firework again, if I am being honest.

So have a nice, shorter week for those of us who have some days off mixed in.

Now I am going to go buy another audiobook because I just finished my last one.

    • They ended up being so much more wearable than I thought. They are great for hot weather too with the loose airiness.

  1. Graphic Audio has become an obsession of mine, too. I got all the books for The Murderbot Diaries (there are 7) and I LOVE their Murderbot actor’s voice so much that I’m looking for other things he’s in just to listen to him.

    • Ooh! I’ll look into those because I’m compiling a list of my next books. The actors voices can make or break it for me. Thank you. – Sara
