It is so hot today. Like, so, so hot with a blast of humidity. It is the humidity that gets me. I can handle 33°C when it is dry, but then it is 47°C with the humidity, and it is like walking out and breathing in hot soup.
So suffocating.
I feel the same about saunas. I can’t sit in them because I feel like I am unable to breathe from the humidity.
So needless to say, I stayed in today, but I won’t be as lucky tomorrow because I have some shit that needs to get done that I put off today.
And since I am not a shorts person, it can make dressing comfortably difficult.
I have dresses and skirts, but I am much more of a pants person, so I am pleased to say that the bloomers I was uncertain of buying are now my extreme heat pants.
They are light, loose, and breezy feeling which is much more preferable to me than exposed skin.
My current go-to pairing for them is a cotton or linen button-up (like outfit 1) or an oversized tee.
I also think they will transition well to fall because it will be easy to wear a high shaft boot underneath. They are working out better than I imagined when I bought them, so I am contemplating another colour.
Maybe the off-white if they come back in stock.
Also, as my wardrobe is becoming more secondhand than new, I often find that anything I wear is either sold out or hard to find.
I try my best to find secondhand options that are the same or really close when I can, because I think it is important to seek secondhand options first when possible.
Plus, I find myself shopping secondhand way more often than I do pursuing new stuff (besides Simons), but even at Simons, I search the secondhand rack every single time.
I just find that I am usually more satisfied with a secondhand purchase than a new one 95% of the time, and that is a good thing.
So if you like something but it is sold out, I will often still link it so that you can see what the specifics are just in case you want to search the secondhand market for one as well.
Goal for the week: stay cool. Both figuratively and literally.
