I stopped into Simons today (again) while dropping off some returns and Poshmark shipments. I always make sure to check out the small preloved section because I have found some good pieces there.

Today, I found a jacket that has a bit of a blazer/tuxedo vibe from Le Chateau.

But from the Le Chateau era before it went to shit. I think it’s probably from around 1996 based on a few pieces I had back then with similar characteristics.

Which makes me wish that Le Chateau could somehow do a complete overhaul and resuscitate itself by going back to its roots.

If it had stayed true to itself and not branched off into the weird mid to late 00s businesswear as nightclub-wear mess that it did, I bet it would be really successful right now.

Unfortunately, it is holding on by the last thread by becoming part of Suzy Shier, selling some bad party dresses. It’s sad to see.

Anyway, the jacket was pure nostalgia and fits well, so I grabbed it. That is the only thing that I bought this week.

In case you missed it, I posted a Summer Capsule Wardrobe for Women Over 40 post yesterday.
