I know you are sitting at the edge of your seat to see if there was an update on my stupid balcony audit drama from last week, and the answer is no.
They didn’t come this weekend, nor have I received any update.
Tomorrow is the last day for them, to complete it as per their original memo, so I guess I’ll have to sit around and see yet again.
I thought I was doing fairly well last week without buying anything, but I ended up seeing this and want to give it a try.
I am always a sucker for any kimono-style wrap top, and this one is linen. I usually end up really liking the Zara pieces that are in natural fabrics.
They always seem a million times better quality, and last me for years and years. The shape of this shirt isn’t a trendy cut either so it has longevity.
My goal is to try to be more mindful about finding pieces that won’t become dated in a short period of time. I think I do well in that area to begin with, but I still want to do better.
That being said, I also really liked the drop-crotch pants she was wearing in the photo. I think that they might be a bit too drop crotchy for me, though.
I know drop crotchy isn’t a word, but you get the point.
Speaking of trends, if you are interested in the lace skirt trend, then Adidas has a cute one. It’s not for me, but I know a lot of people who could pull this off.
The Canadian site has black and white versions; the U.S. currently only has the white.
Very modern Madonna in my opinion. If I did try it, I would pair it with something that covers a longer portion of the skirt.
Something like an oversized button-up, sweater, or even a big old t-shirt.
I am also wearing the Samba Janes in the first photo. It was my first time wearing them out and it went well. They feel like a sneaker, so there isn’t much to break in.
I went up 1/2 a size, but my feet skew on the larger side of 8.
Anyway, that is it. I am scared to see what this week brings.
