The universe has really decided to kick me when I am down, and now my washing machine has decided not to work after it was filled with water and the clothes were put in.

I am 99% certain that it is the lid switch because when I looked to see if I could get it running, it appeared to be shifted and movable instead of in the fixed position.

So with that bit of information based on research, it looks like it probably is not a massive deal to fix but entirely beyond my capabilities.

This means that I have to contact the landlord.

I had the messy task of pulling out all of my wet clothes, and they are currently draining in the bathtub. I just wanted this week to be uneventful.

But I lost that hope when I saw the news about the Filipino festival in Vancouver before going to bed last night. It was like a gut punch.

What is even happening to humans?

So now I am stressed and nauseated (from the stress) because of the festival terrorism on top of the election being tomorrow.

As for the washing machine, hopefully, they can get a repairman in tomorrow and get it fixed without it turning into some kind of huge issue where the whole machine needs to be replaced.

While I think I know the issue, I could also be totally wrong. I would just like to get it over with, because I hate waiting and having things hang over my head.

Plus, my laundry is piling up.

I probably won’t sleep much tonight because of election anxiety, so I really hope that we don’t screw this up.

Fingers crossed, positive thoughts, and elbows up.

Now I have to go finish cleaning.

  1. Good luck with your election. it’s a veritable shit show here and I despair with the lack of humanity on show here on the daily.
