I was all prepped for the ice storm that was headed our way and as usual, it bypassed us. Not that I wanted a dangerous storm with power outages that many of the outlying cities got.
It’s just that it almost feels like there is a forcefield around this location and the storms move around it and then rejoin on the other side and continue on their merry way.
It is a weird phenomenon that I noticed. I love a good thunderstorm and they always skip by us.
Anyway, a quick fashion talk as a not shorts-wearing person.
I caved and bought a pair of Bermuda-style shorts in a suede-like green fabric that you can see in outfit one. I actually like them.
Crazy how that works.
I wouldn’t say that I am in my Bermuda shorts stage of life, but it is nice to add something different to the upcoming warmer weather wardrobe.
Anyone in Canada have election anxiety?
I was feeling really positive but I know it is easy to become complacent because the numbers look good and then a lot will not bother voting.
This is probably the most important vote of my life, and my mail in ballot package (and my oldests’) is on its way. My youngest is mad she can’t vote yet.
You can apply for your own mail-in ballot here if that is an easier way to make certain that you vote.
All you need is a scan/photo of your licence or something else from the approved list. Fill out the quick questionnaire and submit it.
They will email you a confirmation number that you can use to check the status. Mine went from “Pending” to “Approved and Voting Package Sent” within about 36 hours.
This is a vote like your life depends on it situation.
It’s also a 10 pm coffee kind of day because I have a stress headache and often drinking coffee helps to lessen it.
Take care of yourself, it is a rough go out there.

Loving the flat black boots from mango in your 4th look! How do they run? I noticed they only come in half sizes, so wasn’t sure what to think.
I wear an 8 usually and the 8.5 is perfect so I’d say get the half size up from your regular size in this case.
