The joy it brings me that summer is technically over, even though the weather here says otherwise. I am so ready for the cold and gloomy, and that isn’t sarcasm.

I need to clean and organize my closet in preparation for this exciting event because my sweaters are currently in quite the disorder and it would be nice to see them put away properly.

Okay, so I am one of those people who save boxes just in case, especially ones of certain sizes because I sell a lot on Poshmark.

And while I usually use poly mailers, often they are too small for bulky items or I want the protection of a box. So I keep these boxes broken down in a tidy little area in the laundry closet, but then last week my washing machine leaked bubbles and their bottoms got wet so I had to bring them all down to the recycling.

Then as life usually goes, I sold a really bulky sweater on Poshamrk and didn’t have a box. I love when things play out like that.

I will admit that it feels less cluttered with the boxes gone, and I wish I had an extra room to use as an office where I could store what I am selling and my packing supplies. It gets kind of frustrating to have stacks of bins everywhere.

The joys of small space living when you have a lot of stuff and no one seems inclined to be a minimalist.

Anyway, I feel a closet clear out coming on. I am going to go through my summer stuff and evaluate what I did and didn’t wear, what will work through this next season, and go from there I guess.

It’s like my end of season ritual, but more so after summer as my way of celebrating it’s over.
