For the short amount of time that it is open, Spirit Halloween has apparently turned into my Christmas shopping destination instead of Halloween. I’m the kind of person who buys home decor items there for the year versus being seasonal fun.

This bag was on my youngest’s wish list but wasn’t available in stores nearby so I ended up ordering it online.

But this bag that was sold out online had one in the store last night so I grabbed it for my oldest who loves Coraline.

She went through a phase when she was younger where she watched it almost every day while eating mashed potatoes. It was a weird phase.

Then fast forward a few years and she made a Wybie mask out of an old welding mask and she did such a fantastic job. It was the year that my youngest was Coraline for Halloween too.

We still have all these costume pieces we’ve made.

This year we are going to see Evil Dead the Musical instead of trick-or-treating so it is like a new chapter in life.

It is kind of sad, but you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a costume so I am sure there will be more creations in the future. Merle always enjoyed costumes way more than Roo, it is kind of like a creative outlet for her.

Anyway, I love the season of now through Christmas, it always brings us so much more joy than the rest of the year.

I wish we had a 365 day Christmas and Halloween store here because that would be fun.

Stay tuned for the Adidas pants which should show up this week, and some vintage 90s boots that have been travelling for a while and I hope are as incredible in person…if they ever manage to show up.
