It was a lot cooler today than it has been so I detoured from my errands to go past Spirit Halloween to see if it was open yet. It isn’t.

It has a coming soon sign though so that is positive.

Time moves so fast that it feels like it closed only last week.

Did I mention that we opted to see Evil Dead the Musical for Halloween this year instead of trick-or-treating?

We saw it when it first opened in 2007-ish, but this time the kids can come and enjoy it as well. My oldest was a toddler when we went the first time and she was so mad when she couldn’t come.

I also did my weekly walk through Simons today because I love Simons. They always have the good shit.

Then I had to venture into Walmart hell which is not super fun on a Sunday, only to forget what I went in there for and now I don’t have any coffee for the morning.

No new purchases this week either new or secondhand, but not for lack of looking. I have some very specific things I am seeking right now so I am being picky.

In the meantime, I am sharing what I find that doesn’t work for me on my Instagram stories in case it works for someone else.

I was mildly disappointed that I found a leather trench that I have been looking for only to see it wasn’t the size I needed.

Which is often one of the most frustrating things about shopping secondhand. You get excited thinking you hit the jackpot only to notice that it didn’t check a mandatory box.

But I guess that is also part of the thrill of the hunt.

You win some, you lose some.
