If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that I tried out something new this week out of desperation and am giving live updates as they occur.

When I was putting together this week’s creating a capsule wardrobe post, I saw a pair of brown Adidas track pants that I fell in love with.

I have a blue pair that I wear all the time, and I have been trying to manifest them to make a similar brown pair. So when I saw they did I immediately went to the Adidas Canada site to grab them only to see they were only in the US.

Bummed is an understatement and it actually pushed me to do something I have been wondering about for years. I signed up for a US mailing address via Shippsy which is a mail forwarding company.

After some research I determined that they had the best reviews and it was a small purchase, so worth a shot.

It’s actually quite uncomplicated, but I was still expecting my package to reroute and get sent back. It didn’t and my package is now in the pre-transit phase of being forwarded to me.

So far, the only extra fees I have been charged total $9.03 and there will be another small one when it gets to their Canadian warehouse and they forward it to my address.

If the process concludes the way it looks like it will, then this was worth the chance and actually comes up way less expensive than what the US to Canada shipping charge is for most businesses, so this is actually a game-changer.

So far, so good. I will keep you updated with the outcome.
