According to my last post, I said that I should have done a No Buy May since I hadn’t bought anything new in a few weeks. I broke the streak yesterday when I got an email notification that a shirt dress from The Frankie Shop that I have waitlisted for months was finally back in stock.

It was literally the only dress I was looking for this summer so I am thrilled they restocked.

Summer is often about just having a piece you can throw on and go with that will be your wardrobe workhorse.

No one wants to spend too much time overthinking and styling an outfit only to sweat your ass off as soon as you leave the house.

Something cotton, oversized and long is all I was looking for.

And I can transition it to other seasons by layering which is an even more important criterion for me since that can be more difficult with typical summer sundress styles.

Shirt dresses all the way.

Also, I mentioned this in my Instagram stories yesterday but I know a lot of people don’t use Instagram regularly, so I am also posting it here.

The striped sweater I included in the capsule this past week is on a super sale.

Currently, it is marked down 40%, then since Gap allows for code stacking you can get an additional 20% off with the code ADDON, and another 10% off with FAMILY.

That’s probably the best price you’ll get it for, at least for a while with fully stocked sizes. I love a good stacked code purchase.

I can’t wait for the central air to be switched on this Friday because the nights are getting hotter, and it makes my already terrible sleep even more awful.

Hopefully, it goes even quicker, because I look forward to being cold in my own home again. For some reason, they try to hold out as long as possible not taking into consideration that every year the hot weather starts earlier and extends later.

Pretty soon the winter will be so mild they will keep it on all year. It’s scary.

I am trying really hard to get to bed before 4am now. It was never intentional and just made its way to that hour somehow over a period of time.

I used to be in bed by 12:00 and this consistent lateness is slowly destroying me, plus I have to talk to my tax lady at the CRA in the morning and I need to be awake and alert for that conversation. It’s going to be a fun one.

Note the sarcasm in the last sentence.

Have a great week.
