Have I ever mentioned how I made the mistake of making my cat Toodles fly to his dinner bowl every time I fed him? And now whenever I put down his dinner he stands there and waits for me to pick him up and fly him over.

Flying sounds and all.

It’s cute though and I like it. Hopefully, since he’s a cat he won’t outgrow it like kids outgrow some cute things they do.

I tried these animal print pants on at Zara a few days ago and found that they fit weirdly.

I might have just needed a size down which of course they didn’t have, but I found that there was too much excess fabric in the crotch area.

It’s like they needed to be pulled up higher than their high waist could go just to make it work.

I would be interested in trying another size to see if that fixed the issue, but I wasn’t intrigued enough to order them online to try.

On the other hand, these sneakers have been living rent-free in my head. They remind me of bowling shoes and I am drawn to them for unknown reasons. We don’t really need reasons though, right?

But I already have two pairs of brown sneakers so I am not in the market for another.

I had a woman last night bouncing between here and my Instagram leaving snarky comments on everything.

I replied to every single comment trying to engage her in some kind of conversation but instead of replying to anything that I said or questions I asked, she would just move on to something else to leave another comment.

It was weird and I eventually just blocked her, which isn’t something that I do but after not replying to me I figured she had no desire to constructively talk with me.

I think she just wanted to leave things to try and make me feel bad, so she would feel good. Or maybe she was drunk?

The best part is that she is a middle-aged women, like why do we do this? Are we so miserable with our lives that we have to try to make people feel as bad?

I felt nothing from her comments because I truly don’t care if she doesn’t like me or anything about me. It’s something that I have always been good at. But I decided to use my stellar research skills to figure out who she was and saw that she wanted to start an Instagram fashion account.

Okay, so why burn bridges of people who can be potential allies in an industry that hates ageing women? Such a sad tactic she took to make herself feel superior or some other shit. Who knows.

Anyway, we need to do better as women because this shit is ridiculous. Previously to the tangent, she went on I watched four separate videos from women that I follow who were talking about the horrible comments, and things said by women of a certain age that they have received lately.

Some of it was borderline verbal abuse.

And I thought right after that, that I was lucky because I haven’t had a rude comment in a while…

Then I shit you not, no more than an hour later she starts.

It would have been funny if it wasn’t sad, and actually embarrassing for her, because there is only one person who ends up looking like a dick in this situation and it wasn’t me.

What a waste of time, and mental energy. Which was another reason why I blocked her.

  1. I’m so sorry about the nasty comments!!! Can you please post a video of Toodles’ flying routine? That sounds so cute!

  2. I’m sorry to hear about the rude commenter. I’m glad you are undeterred by those sorts of comments because I wouldn’t want you to stop posting!!!

    • Thanks! It’s a hard time out there and people are tired, stressed, and angry so I’m not surprised by the uptick of this sort of thing. So many lash out to make themselves temporarily feel better so it is expected, and goes along with the territory. I just thought it was funny after I literally thought about how it has been a while. Apparently the universe likes to keep me on my toes 😂

  3. Sarah, I started carrying my kitty to her breakfast bowl after she was spayed. That was a couple of weeks ago, and she’s doing fine. But now she expects me to carry her and gets mad at me if I don’t. Guess we need to be careful what we teach them.🤣
