Remember the green Adidas I included in this capsule, then bought myself because they were that good? They arrived this week and I love them so much.

You can see them in the last outfit this week.

I paired them with all black to make them the statement piece.

Also, do you remember back in the late 90s/early 00s how we used to slit open the side of our jeans and then sew in a piece of denim or fabric?

I would sometimes do it only to the bottom half to make them flared, but I would also slit it up the whole side in a way to make the jean wide the entire length of the leg.

Well, when I walked past Gap a few weeks ago I saw these on a mannequin, and they immediately pulled me into the store.

They didn’t have my size, so I left, and decided to think about it a bit before I ordered a pair to try.

I thought it over for a couple of weeks, then they had a big denim sale, so I grabbed a pair. I had to get petite which is a 29″ inseam because regular is too long, and the short which I wanted because it is a 30″ inseam was sold out.

Regardless of the inseam, I really like them.

Even if they are a tad shorter than I initially visualized they actually will work well for spring and summer with flats.

It is like the modernized version of what I used to do to my jeans, but better made than my hand-sewn version.

I love how they are a statement piece themselves and is a nice variation to wearing regular jeans. They are true to size with some stretch, so you could probably get away with one size down if your size isn’t available.

I have to say, Gap and Old Navy have surprised me lately.

I haven’t bought anything from either in a very long time, and over the last few weeks I found two pieces I love.

The cargos in the first outfit are Old Navy, and I got them for $23. If you like how they fit on me, then size up, because I went one size larger than my regular.

Anyway, I am spending the rest of the evening drinking coffee and finishing a job for a client. Then I am taking a break from client work for a couple of weeks while I try to catch up with things around here.

I feel a bit like I am drawing and need to focus on one area for the moment until I get my head back on straight.

Have a great week!
