I have had something on my wishlist for a while, but it is more pricey than I want to pay, so when the company sent me a coupon in December I was excited.

Even with the coupon, it was still a couple of hundred dollars which was enough to make me stop and think, so I kept putting it off.

The coupon expired tonight at 8 and honestly, I purposely held out until that time because I knew I would never pay full price for it.

This is my long-winded way of saying that I am proud that I was able to show restraint.

I would much rather use the money to buy interesting and unique secondhand and vintage pieces.

Impulse buying used to be an issue of mine, but I recognized my triggers and learned how to control them (as much as I can).

There is a vintage raincoat on Etsy that is calling my name, which is a much more interesting piece than the wishlist item anyway.

In case you missed it, I posted a Rock Capsule Wardrobe with vintage touches last night.
