I am not sure if I feel sad or happy that my youngest has reached the age of not overly caring about Halloween costumes anymore.

She likes dressing up and getting candy, and doing/seeing/collecting Halloween inspired things, but it isn’t the whole year long preparation that it used to be.

In fact, she’s probably going to go as the same thing as last year which is fine because it was fun and I spent a while making the weapon portion of the costume.

I was pretty proud of that piece of I do say so myself.

I’m ridiculously tired tonight for some reason, and I feel like I could sleep for 36 hours straight and still be tired at this point.

The Nirvana sweater that I included in this post is a piece that I ordered this week.

I really like a band shirt in a knit sweater format. I have The Cure one that I love and thought this was an inexpensive version to get since it’s still my favourite band.

If you are looking for a good book series to read to your kids, The Blackthorn Key Series is excellent. We are starting book 4 tonight.

If you have a kid who likes history (medieval), mystery, intrigue, and enjoys things a bit dark and twisted (for kids who have a tolerance for that) it’s a fantastic series.

Even my 18 year old who is often sitting nearby when we read pays attention and asks questions about it pretending that she is not listening to me read when in fact I know she is.

Here is the complete set.

And In case you missed it, I talked about eclectic fashion yesterday along with posting an eclectic capsule wardrobe.
