I actually achieved five outfit status this week which is rare. I think the new closet setup is making it easier for me to see what I have, and therefore get inspired and dressed. It also allowed me to find things that I haven’t seen or worn in a long while.

So it’s almost new and exciting.

In other exciting news, you can just call me Bob Villa now.

This past week I noticed a slow leak from our toilet tank.

It only happened when flushed, so I crawled right in there with a flashlight to see if anything was noticeably amiss before I called the landlord.

It looked as if the gasket was seriously breaking down, so I googled it and watched a few Youtube videos.

I think it is important to learn how to do things around the house, and this seemed like a relatively doable level of my abilities, so didn’t call the landlord and repaired it myself instead.

I ordered this kit from Amazon which is not even comparable to what a plumber would cost, and I then found this video which broke it down step by step.

Then yesterday I got to business.

Only to realize that the bolts were so rusted that a screwdriver and wrench were not going to cut it, so I sent Tom out to get a hacksaw.

Then I sawed those bastards right off and everything was ridiculously easy after.

This toilet tank has always been a bit wobbly which probably lead to the degrading due to moving back and forth over time, so I plan on buying these toilet tank stabilizers to keep everything from moving.

But no more leak, and another plumbing task that I can add to my resume 😉 The last one was when I replaced the kitchen faucet a few months back.

I’m apparently the handy person in the house.
