I think my biggest achievement this weekend was changing the bedsheets along with about 12 loads of laundry.

Why so much laundry you may ask?

A few months back after I did some laundry I noticed water all over the floor. I couldn’t determine whether it was leaking or I had filled the machine with too many clothes.

After basically standing guard and monitoring every load for the next week, I determined that it was user error and I filled it too much.

So now out of paranoia of flooding it again, I do much smaller laundry loads which lead to more loads.

A pain in the ass, and a time sucker but I would rather not have that issue again.

Question of the day? Will I regret this 9 pm coffee? Chances are no, coffee often doesn’t keep me awake, but there is always the chance.

Although sometimes it backfires and makes me tired.

My teen’s birthday is this Thursday. She will be 18 which is so crazy to me, but she says not to worry because technically she is 15 since she lost a couple of years in the pandemic.

She says those years don’t count.

With that logic, it means that I am 40 which is cool. I’ll take that.

Anyway, I have to finish up buying her birthday presents.

She always benefits from the Black Friday sales being on her birthday, so she often wants me to take her shopping to spend her birthday money.

I’m not sure if we are up for the crowds though. She hates shopping with large crowds.

It sucks the joy out of shopping.

And as I finish this, I just placed a large-ish order for stuff on Amazon for Birthdays/Christmas.

I was able to get a video game, special markers, a felting kit, a felting book, and a special edition Monster High doll that is weirdly priced at $50 when it goes for way more here, but says it won’t arrive until after Christmas.

I can always hope that changes since the Amazon fulfillment warehouse is actually not far from here.

  1. I like the way you tied and styled yr trench coat… I tried it yesterday wearing it more as a wrap with a side waist tie and it instantly felt a little more hip—separated me from the Wall St commuter train crowd! Thanks for the inspiration!
