It’s Thanksgiving weekend here which I know seems so weird and early if you are from the US, but I was completely unprepared for it. I had a headache from Thursday night all the way until I woke up this morning, so I didn’t really feel like making dinner.
That being said, I put in a small grocery order a couple of days ago and was able to makeshift something tonight, but there was no turkey involved.
Which is fine by me because I hate cooking turkey, and I don’t even really like eating it.
My favourite part is coffee and dessert which I am currently having.
Now it’s cleanup time.
One of the things I was looking to add to my wardrobe this fall/winter season is an oversized, long coat.
I was originally looking for a belted version, and mostly looking new, but I came across this vintage Ralph Lauren houndstooth wool coat and couldn’t stop thinking about it.
It’s like my 90s minimalist dream coat, so much so that I did in fact dream about it that night.
I woke up in a panic that someone bought it overnight, and quickly swooped in.
A sign that I really like something and am not impulse shopping is when I feel like that.
I am a little worried that it is going to be huge on me though. It is a vintage size 12 and we all know that vintage sizing is way smaller than modern sizing, so I went by the measurements.
I compared it to a coat that I have, and it feels like it will be a similar fit, albeit longer.
Whatever, I’ll make it work, and if it is huge, then it is a good thing that way oversized almost touching the ground outerwear is very on-trend right now.
Is it weird how more often than not, I am way happier with my secondhand purchases than my new ones?
Vintage Ralph Lauren is always a winner though.
