Weekly Reads and Finds

A white background with 24 items that I have caught my attention this week.

I am so hungry right now, and I am trying really hard not to order takeout, because I already did that once today. I need to cut back on that shit because it is getting out of hand.

I think that I am ordering out so much is that the last few months have been really stressful, and I have absolutely no desire to cook for people. I also procrastinate until it is so close to dinner that I just say eff it and order.

I wish that I enjoyed cooking more, and that my kids weren’t so picky.

I tried a couple of those food delivery services and while it was nice, it was too much effort to cook something that was just for me, so it was not worth it.

Plus, most of the things took way longer to prepare than what I am willing to invest in something that is supposed to be relatively easy.

I would say they are not cooking hater friendly.

I think I am going to go cook some midnight pasta.

  1. Yesterday my workplace treated us to Dominos and our manager accidentally over ordered, to the point where I managed to bring home an entire large pizza. So that was today’s lunch taken care of. I also hate cooking and if I had my way I would eat out for every meal, even if it’s just a salad.

Also, covid allowing, I will be visiting home for two weeks this summer and the art museum there (Philbrook) is having a Frida Kahlo exhibit while we are there and I can’t wait to see it.

    • I love dominos so having the leftovers would have made my day. I’ve been on a Korean bowl kick and have ordered it like 5 times this past week just for me. I wish I could make it at home but it just wouldn’t be the same.
As for the Frida exhibit, I hope you make it home and get to enjoy it. I would love to see it, and am still pissed that Covid made me miss the Picasso exhibit here.
