I just heard one of those really loud horns that boats have that scare the bejesus out of you and are super creepy sounding, BUT I don’t live near the water or harbour soooo.

Either it is a ghost boat or I have no idea what I am talking about and it was totally something innocuous.

I wouldn’t mind living by the water though. That would be nice, although the cost of real estate there is in the realm of “not in this lifetime”.

We went to a vintage toy convention today. We used to go to them all the time, but for obvious reasons, they were not running. There was one today so we decided to go to squeeze in some fun just in case shit happens again.

That is what happened in early 2020. We went to see Phantom of the Opera just as shit was starting to hit the fan and that experience helped us get through the boredom of lockdown.

Both kids still talk about it. I’d love to take them again.

Anyway, the toy convention was fun.

There weren’t a lot of purchases but a few choice pieces to add to collections.

I got a vintage Barbie for Roo. She wanted the exercise Barbie from Toy Story and while I could have bought her that one, this one was the original Great Shape Barbie from 1983 with all her pieces.

She will like this one better.

The Disney stores have closed in Canada anyway (boo, it sucks) so the Toy Story version wouldn’t be quite as easy. This one even had all her pieces right down to the little fold up exercise booklet that she carried in her gym tote bag.

I have one more assignment for school to submit before it is done for this semester.

Tom asked what I wanted for Christmas so I just asked for another class or two. I’d like to get enrolled in the rest of them but I’m not sure if I can afford them all at once.

A couple may have to wait until spring.

I’m going to see how it plays out though, because I have until early January to sign up.

Aside from that nothing is new. I’m going to go work on my final assignment now.

Stay safe.
