Do you know what is nice? When you find some money that you hid away at the beginning of the original lockdown that you forgot about.

Tom had sold a guitar or something and told me to hide the cash as emergency money when we weren’t sure about working over the last almost year because he knew he would spend it.

I did and then I forgot about it.

Now it is going to go towards my new computer than I haven’t decided upon yet.

On a side note: I have a question for anyone who is experienced with Macs, particularly going from a really old one to a new one.

When you use the Time Machine back up on the old computer, will it be difficult to transfer over to the new computer if the old computer doesn’t have an updated iOS?

I haven’t been able to update this one for quite a while since the last time it made a horrible noise, stalled, and I had to restore the machine from back up.

I have 10 years worth of files and stuff that I don’t want to lose or have it corrupt in the transfer.

Did I mention that we almost moved to an apartment in this same building but on a lower floor?

Rent prices have dropped over the last few months and while it wasn’t much larger in square footage, it had 2 washrooms (we only have one), and a really large balcony.

Like, a really big one.

Big enough to roller skate on. I also want a hammock.

The big balcony units don’t come up for rent very often, so this one was a surprise.

We were literally 24 hours too late in putting in a rental offer 🙁

I’m going to keep my eye on it though because I find that people don’t tend to stay around here for extended periods of time for some reason.

While I would consider moving to another building, this one would have been much easier.

We could have slowly moved all the small things up and down over a few weeks, then book the elevator at the end for the big stuff.

Note to self: don’t wait on things.

Stay safe.

  1. Sara, I use BACKBLAZE which cost $9.99/mo. It backs everything up and if you want, you can def use it for transferring all of your files from your old computer. best of luck & always thank you for the great outfits.
