SHOP THE POST

First week back to homeschool done and I give it about a 6/10. It was really hard to get back into the swing of things after that much time off.

My kids still went to bed late, and I had issues waking them up in the morning.

Merle isn’t so bad.

Two to three times and she’ll get up and be up all day until late with no signs of tiredness.

Roo. My god. It is so hard to wake her.

There was one day that I went in with pot lids that I played in the beat to the creepy bunny vintage alarm clock that we found which plays really loud music that sort of sounds like the Sailor Moon theme.

And yet she still only slightly moves. It’s frustrating.

Once she is awake, she is awake though. But starting the day off dealing with that crap is annoying.

GO TO BED EARLIER.

Which may be something that I bellow frequently.

Besides that, we often had days where everything wasn’t done, and we had to push it forward to the next day.

All in all, it wasn’t terrible, and I am certain we weren’t the only ones not falling into a well-oiled machine right away.

I mean, we never are a well-oiled machine but that is beside the point.

I’m sure week two will be better than week one.

I am currently waiting for McDonald’s delivery as I type this.

There is no cooking happening here tonight. Although someone on my floor is cooking and it smells really good.

Better than McDonald’s, but beggars can’t be choosers when one does not want to cook 😉

…And it arrived and they gave me iced tea instead of coke.

It was literally the only thing I ordered for myself.

I don’t like fountain drink iced-tea 🙁

Four positive things this week:

  1. A book that I was on a waiting list for at the library came in.
  2. I sold 4 things on Poshmark. I need to start listing more.
  3. I did an online survey and they actually gave me the $10 Amazon gift card that was promised.
  4. The weather was so much cooler. It was amazing.
