SHOP THE POST

I might or might not have just polished off a box of powder doughnuts. You know when you by treats from the grocery that are discounted because the expiration date is coming up? And you think “yep, I can finish those off before they expire.”

Then you do, and you immediately regret your decision.

That’s where I am right now.

Onward and upward.

I have been patiently waiting for the supposed huge thunderstorm that was forecasted for today but all I got were some black clouds that kept passing by.

I have been waiting for a huge rainstorm all summer that lasts for more than 5 minutes. I swear it barely rains here anymore.

Our area moved into Stage 3 this Friday which means that people can now sit in restaurants and food courts. And people are really taking advantage of that.

The food court today was packed. I’m not even sure how people got their meals and sat down without being uncomfortable with how many people were not spacing out properly around them.

It’s like with every stage we get to common sense gets less and less. Our city has been doing so well, I’d really hate to see us have a setback like Melbourne is right now.

We can’t afford another quarantine like that.

Tomorrow is a Civic Holiday and then Tom starts back to work again which will give us back some normalcy.

Four positive things from this week:
1. I bought some school supplies after procrastinating.
2. The girls’ new facemasks arrived in the mail and they fit perfectly.
3. I just hit day 175 straight of my Duolingo practice.
4. I read three books last week. Once was a reread so it probably shouldn’t count though 😉 And I literally stayed up until 4 am every night reading so maybe that shouldn’t be applauded.

Stay safe.
