SHOP THE POST

The winning recipe of the week? Korean Beef Bowls, they are easy, inexpensive, and really, really good. This is a keeper which is something that I don’t say that often.

I still can’t get a time slot with the Ikea Click and Collect. I’ve even tried the other 3 Ikea’s that are within driving distance to no avail. I wish they gave more information about.

Like, how far in advance do they have a booking? Is it weekly, daily? Do they reset after a certain time and you have to jump on quickly, like midnight? I have no idea.

Shipping says it will take a minimum of 6 weeks so I am not even going to attempt that option. I just want a shelf and an inexpensive carpet 🙁

My kitchen is in desperate need of more storage space and it has become abundantly clear over the last couple of months with everyone being home.

Stocking up on more food just adds to the clutter because we literally have things piled on the countertops which isn’t conducive to easy cooking in the kitchen.

It’s just a small galley kitchen, and at the end is an empty wall that would fit a tall shelf perfectly. All these grandiose organizational plans and nowhere to buy what I need 😉

Have you ever mailed returns back to Zara? I have only ever returned in-store since there is one nearby.

But I have had a box of things that have needed to be returned for about a month and a half.

Local stores aren’t open yet so I am thinking that I should just mail them back. Does it take a long time to process?

Positives from last week:

  1. I won $4 and a free play on a lottery ticket.
  2. I worked out 3 days last week after having barely moved for 8 weeks.
  3. I have started to slowly dial back what time I go to sleep which I hope makes me feel better throughout the day once I get it back to a reasonable time. My sleeping time has somehow gradually increased to 3:30 and 4am for the past few weeks and it is negatively affecting me.
  4. I have been researching going back to college. There are a lot of online options now and that works much better with my personality and lifestyle. Going to a campus was always an epic fail for me. I am much better at solo learning.

Stay safe.

  1. Hi Sara,
I have no info re IKEA or Zara returns (sorry!), but maybe another chain like Structube? Or a small neighborhood store where you could do curbside pick-up. Neat is offering 48-hr delivery in Toronto. Good luck! I did a big purge and re-org of my office and feel so much better.
Great style as usual. I know you don’t want it too hot, but I find this weather so much nicer. Although I cannot believe there are forecast highs of 29-30 here in Ottawa next weekend!
    Stay safe.

    • Thanks for the information regarding Neat! I love to hear about smaller businesses.

Our favourite Value Villages are open again so I am looking forward to donating a huge pile of stuff that has been accumulating. It will be nice not to have it hanging around anymore.

I was hoping that the mild weather trend would continue throughout the summer but having some hot days already isn’t giving me a lot of hope.

We are doing the Toronto Zoo Scenic Safari tomorrow and luckily the weather will be a little cooler so it will be nice to be driving through looking at the animals. I don’t think it would be as enjoyable in 30° weather.

      I hope you are well.

      Sara
