We found a resolution to last week’s couch debacle. It actually worked out pretty well, if not better. Our condo is really small. Not tiny house small, but about 650-700 sq ft kind of small. This means that smaller pieces work better to make the rooms look more spacious.
At the same Value Village that we found the couch, Tom found and Ikea Chaise for $20. He thought the back was broken on it but all it needed was some screws tightened. (It pays to check to see if something is broken or just needs a quick fix.)
The cover was pretty beat, so he went to Ikea and bought a replacement cover for $70 which makes the total cost of a new “couch” $90. It was originally red, but we bought a grey cover.
We also have a matching Ikea ottoman that we bought from Value Village about 2 years ago, and with that pushed up to the chaise, it actually looks like a backless sectional couch.
I like it.
Everything worked out for the best.

These videos are very satisfying to watch.
I need one of these for my cat. He uses our woven laundry basket and its a mess now.
Add this to my Scotland must-see list. I would move in here too.
This is probably one of the best tiny houses I’ve ever seen.
