SHOP THE POST

I’m going to start off by giving you a word of warning: If you plan on going to a buffet, do not wear super high waisted jeans like the Levi’s Ribcage. They will not be your buffet friend.

Today was another vintage toy convention. It was a much smaller one because they had a Transformer Convention going on at the same time, in the same building. None of us are huge Transformer fans so we stuck with the smaller one and found a few good things.

Merle found a Cheshire cat stuffy from Disney World from the 90s to add to her cat collection. Roo found a vintage 1960s Pluto stuffy with a rubber face that is from Japan. She likes those old dolls with the plastic/rubber faces for some reason. Even though many of them are really creepy. You should see the Bugs Bunny one that she has :/

Then after the convention, but before the buffet we hit a couple of Value Villages. The first one we went to was really well stocked, and super quiet today which was a nice change. We found a lot of good deals there.

I saw a black jumpsuit that I wanted, but they were asking way too much for it so I put it back. Then we found some Harry Potter audio book sets which was exciting for a minute until we saw that they wanted $40 a set. I wasn’t paying that much even though they go for about that used on Amazon

Aside from that I didn’t accomplish much this weekend, so hopefully I can clean and purge through the week, so there is a decent size donation pile for a weekend drop off.

Side note: I caught Tom using my hairbrush to brush his beard today. I am thoroughly grossed out and don’t even want to know how many years this has been going on. I’m adding a beard comb to his Christmas list for this year.

  1. Hi Sara –

Always killing it on the fashion front! Do you like the Vetta Capsule trousers? I was also looking at the black midi dress you have, but am worried it’s too long for me at my short stature of 5’4″. Do you mind sharing your height so I can compare the mid-calf length I saw on you?

Thank you for the continued inspiration!

    • Hi Molly!

I do really like the trousers. They are super comfortable and versatile. I’d suggest sizing down in them though since they are a roomier fit.

The black dress you are talking about, is it the slip dress? I’m 5’3″ for reference 🙂

  2. Hi Sara –

I checked your Insta and it’s the Vetta Capsule v-neck short sleeved midi dress you posted on May 1 wearing 3 ways. Helpful to know your height is close to mine! Any other thoughts are welcome.

I am not a dress person but would like one black dress. Considering Vetta Capsule and the Everlane Japanese Go-Weave Shirt Dress.

I am a curvier and athletic size 14 ish for reference.

    Love the Greece post, too!
