SHOP THE POST

Hey, have you heard about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? (if I could figure it out I would have the eye roll and laughing emojis here). Bloggers have been talking about and preparing for this sale since it ended last summer.

I’m not sure if it’s because I am Canadian and Nordstrom only recently opened here (previous to that it was strictly online and way too expensive to shop and ship here), or if it is because my tastes are really particular so I don’t usually see a lot of things that float my boat included in the sale. But I am feeling pretty indifferent to it.

I definitely am not a Nordstrom card holder and while I actually intend to a least stop in the store and see what they have, it won’t be until after the 19th when it opens to all of us other plebeians who don’t have a store card 😉 I’m not wandering around the store before that because I’ll be barred entrance to the sale areas. I don’t need to have a Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman trying to shop experience. Been there done that.

I think ranking a high level on the card has become a status/popularity thing amongst bloggers which is weird. I don’t know how much you have to spend there per year to rank the highest level of Ambassador, but  I assume it is more than what my whole wardrobe is worth.

So I have included my regular weekly finds at the top of this post. My reads are right below here, and I have made a Nordstrom finds collection at the very bottom with some of sale pieces that I have been given a preview of (online not in person) that I think might be worth a look at.

As we all know fall is my absolute favourite season to buy clothes for, and I get tremendously excited when I see plaid, corduroy, knits, and all the different browns rolling in the stores. So if you like to shop for fall too, you may find some stuff to your liking.

I usually get this post out on Friday evening but because the sale opens to all card holders at 12:30 EST I thought I would get this out early to combat the shopping madness. All the links should be live as of 12:30 EST for all card holders. If you aren’t, then come back on the 19th and you will have access.

Happy shopping if you are partaking early.

Have a great weekend!

  1. This is the first time I actually looked at the sale, and I 100% agree, I don’t see anything that really knocks my socks off, or gets me excited for fall, or compels me to get a N-card. meh. There are some great beauty deals though. I kind of want to stock up on the super goop sunscreens, but that’s about it for the N-Sale for me.

    • Yep. Agreed. There are some nice blazers but I don’t need 15 of them. The kids stuff is cute, but once again my kids won’t wear it. There is nothing I need, or that fills a wardrobe hole. I’ll see what is still hanging around the store when I go in after the 19th 😂 I tend to like the things that no one else wants so I may find something.
