I’m currently rewatching Friends for the thousandth time. It’s at the episode where Ross and Rachel Take a Break. I swear every time I watch it, it seems to go through it faster than the time before. 

I ran some errands today with Merle which involved a lot of mall walking (12,000 steps to be exact). I was pretty excited when I saw a lot of stores were starting to put out their sweaters, plaid print, and fall corduroy pieces. I found this great black and white striped sweater turtleneck which I am pretty happy about. It also comes in a coloured stripe, but I felt a little Ernie and Bert -ish in it. I may go back for it though.

Tomorrow is Canada Day and there is supposed to be an ongoing concert in the park across the street for the whole day up until the fireworks start. So I get a whole day of bad music and people cheering which will be fun 😉

My building is doing it annual filter replacement and cleaning of each units starting this week. My floor is scheduled for the 8th which means I have one week to make this place no longer a disaster zone. The pressure is on. It’s a good thing it is supposed to rain most of the week, because it gives me no excuses not to stay in a get shit done. 

Is anyone else getting stressed out that is officially six months to Christmas? Time is going so bloody fast and I usually know by now what kind of gifts I plan on getting people. This year I have no ideas. Zero. Zilch. It’s stressing me out. 

Can I just say that I am getting extremely frustrated with Pinterest lately. It is my number one traffic generator to my blog, but lately I am finding that they are making so many changes with the site that it’s causing issues bloggers across the board.

Why can’t companies (ahem. You too Instagram) just leave well enough alone? There is a reason that a site becomes popular, and then they think they need to implement all these changes when it totally goes against why everyone started loving it to begin with. 

That’s my little vent right now. So if you have a Pinterest account and like any of my stuff, I would appreciate you sharing it on your Pinterest if you have the time.

  1. The vanishing and reappearing Cousin Itt in your photos is making me chuckle.

    I always take the Fourth off because as the token American in my office I always have to explain the stupid stuff about American holidays, like what a colony is. So I save my sanity and stay home. I probably look super patriotic when really I’m just getting surly in my dotage.

    • Ha! I know right? Merle won’t let me get rid of him so the desk is always his resting place it seems. I wanted to hang him from the ceiling in her room, but condo ceilings are cement and I can’t drill into it 🙄 I’m trying to think of something creative to get him up there, but so far I’m unsuccessful. I always end up just picking him up off the floor and sitting back on the desk 😂

      I honestly don’t blame you for taking the day off. I have a friend in the UK and she always tells me about the weird questions she gets about being Canadian, so I can only imagine the kinds of questions you get 😂 Enjoy your day off!

      • I once had to explain that no, the movie Independence Day was not based on a true story. And also no, we do not celebrate the holiday because we really like the movie Independence Day. I wish this person was just taking the piss, but between having to explain what a colony is and explaining the geography of her own country, I’m pretty sure she was completely serious. 😀

    • Hi Angela! I’m 5’3″ and the jeans have a 27″ inseam I believe. So they are good for those of us that fall on the shorter side of the spectrum 😁
